Maia Kiknadze
Born on December 12, 1979, Maia Kiknadze graduated from the Vakhtang Chabukiani Choreographic Dance School in 1997. She began her career at the Zakaria Paliashvili State Opera and Ballet Academic Theater of Georgia under choreographer Gogi Aleksidze.
In 1998, Maia joined Dance Theater "Metekhi" as an actor-dancer. Since 2000, she has been the leading solo dancer and choreographer at "Metekhi," performing all leading roles in their productions. She has danced on professional stages for 17 years, showcasing her talent in Georgia and internationally.
Maia graduated from the State University of Culture of Tbilisi in 2001, specializing in classic, world, and Georgian dance choreography. She co-founded the Dance Academy in 2006, serving as its art director for classical and feature dances. In 2008, she also co-founded the Royal National Ballet of Georgia, where she is the art director.
In 2012, the National Academy of Georgia honored Maia Kiknadze as an academician. Today, she continues to perform, teach, and contribute to Georgian cultural heritage.
